Preschool Parent's Club 2007-2008 School Year   Where we need you to be a part of your child’s education…   We would like to welcome you to FUMC preschool and tell you a little bit about what PPC is…   This is our 5th year having an organized parent volunteer program at this preschool.  Each year has been better and better because of the parent participation we have had.  This is where you play a key role.  The PPC holds monthly meetings which will be posted here and on the bulletin board outside the preschool office.  This is a good time for you to come and find out where you can help as well as what we need to make this year successful…   There are plenty of opportunities for you be as involved as time allows you to be and also for you to be of help behind the scenes.  Parent involvement is required because our school is accredited through the A.P.P.L.E. program.   One of the areas that you may want to consider is volunteering for a position on the PPC board.  The positions that we have are as follows… Co-Head – this person(s) helps to coordinate monthly meetings and is in direct assistance to the head of PPC. Treasurer – this person(s) will be responsible for handling PPC monies collected during fundraisers and other PPC events. Secretary - this person(s) will be taking minutes at all meetings and perform various other secretarial duties to assist with meetings. Room Mom Mentor - this person will be the contact for all room moms, handle all questions and be responsible for contacting room moms when needed. Historian - this person will be available to take pictures of special events for the PPC and any other school oriented activities. Room Moms – we would like to have two or more room moms assigned to each class to coordinate and be the liaison between teachers and parents as well as the PPC and parents.   Additionally, the PPC organizes monthly activities such as play dates, mom’s night out, crafting bees and swaps (bring items no longer needed or wanted and let others take what they want or need and the rest gets donated).  We put together a monthly newsletter and plan fundraisers for the preschool.  There is a place for everyone in the PPC!   µ      NEXT MEETING:  WEDNESDAY, February 13TH, 9:15 AM   See you there,   Dawn Zeschke PPC    Minutes will be posted monthly from each meeting.   If you have any questions...
